O Brasil vem considerando a sustentabilidade em seus projetos, seja em edifícios comerciais, seja em projetos ambientais de interesse nacional. As moradias ainda não têm recebido muitas atenções em termos de construção sustentável, como já ocorre em outras nações. Muitas podem ser as razões para essa diferença: carência de tecnologia adequada; recursos econômicos limitados; mão-de-obra pouco qualificada; e ainda a falta de cultura sobre questões ambientais; todos estes condicionantes parecem levar ao fato de que ainda se constrói de acordo com uma prática insustentável.
Brazil is considering the sustainability in its projects, be in commercial buildings, be it in environmental projects of national interest. The dwellings, although, are yet not receiving much attention in terms of sustainable construction, as it already happens in other nations. Many can be the reaspns for that difference: lacl of adequate technology; limited economic resources; a less skilled labor force; and also the lack of culture about the environmental issues; all these conditionings seem to lead to the fact that one is still building according to an unsustainable practice.
