Este artigo visa testar e propor melhorias ao programa computacional CityZoom, que simula ambientes urbanos. As simulações objetivam instrumentar os debates do novo plano diretor proposto para Nova Prata/RS, principalmente na temática do regime urbanístico a ser adotado, com a apresentação de volumetrias produzidas pelas diferentes regras a fim de subsidiar análises da paisagem urbana produzida, do sombreamento gerado, entre outras que poderão ser acrescidas com a utilização do ambiente SIG (Sistema de Informações Geográficas). Em discussão, um comparativo entre os dois planos municipais, e o seu impacto no desenvolvimento municipal, a paisagem urbana produzida pela simulação das regras dos mesmos. Este comparativo é feito a partir da aplicação de um modelo computacional descritivo de estado denominado CityZoom. O que permitiu avaliar três estados: i) com as regras do plano diretor de 1982; ii) as regras aplicadas até 2007; e iii) as regras máximas permitidas no novo plano diretor proposto. O potencial construtivo dos dois planos se assemelham, mas há uma mudança na paisagem urbana gerada.

This article seeks to test and to propose improvements to the computational program CityZoom, that simulates urban atmospheresin. The simulations aim at to score the debates of the new urban master plan proposed for Nova Prata/RS, Brazil, mainly in the theme of the town planning regime to be adopted, with the volumetric presentation produced by the different rules in order to subsidize analyses of the produced urban landscape, of the generated shading, among another that can be added with the use of the atmosphere GIS. In discussion, a comparative among the two municipal plans, and its impact in the municipal development, the urban landscape produced by the simulation of the rules of the same ones. This comparative one is made starting from the application of a descriptive computational model of denominated state CityZoom. The one that allowed evaluate three states: i) with the rules of the master plan of 1982; ii) the applied rules up to 2007; and iii) the maximum rules allowed in the new proposed urban master plan. The constructive potential of the two plans resembles each other, but there is a change in the generated urban landscape.
