O trabalho aborda o tema da implantação de legislação urbanística em municípios na região da Produção, norte do estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Tem por objetivo analisar a existência de plano diretor ou lei de diretrizes urbanísticas nos municípios da região da Produção, e sua relação com o desenvolvimento urbano. Verifica-se a existência de políticas públicas de desenvolvimento nos municípios, fragilidades ou potencialidades de planejamento urbano para o ordenamento urbano. O trabalho contribui para o planejamento regional e municipal, e na definição de políticas de desenvolvimento urbano e municipal.
The work addresses the issue of deployment of urban laws in municipalities in the region of production, north of Rio Grande do Sul. It analyzes the existence of the master plan or guidelines law in urban counties of the region's production and its relationship with urban development.
